Description

After two unsuccessful days of hunting, yesterday I finally managed to catch a comet in broad daylight.
I have to admit it wasn't easy at all, anyone who has tried knows how difficult it is.
The goal was to "hide" the Sun and try to catch the comet by aiming at the approximate location where it is.
To hide the Sun means to cover it with something, because it is very risky to point your eyes directly to the Sun, especially through the viewfinder of your camera, plus the equipment can be destroyed.
I hide the Sun by taking astrofoil, which is normally used to photograph the Sun 'cause it blocks its harmful glow and rays, but I managed to adjust the foil properly so that it only covered the part of the lens where I had placed the Sun in the frame.
I've tried to catch the comet with the rest of the lens with no foil.
While reviewing the photos, I spotted it.
There was no end to the happiness!
A difficult editing process followed.
I took over 800 photos, and I barely managed to stack only 15 manually, because automatic stacking is impossible (that's another topic).
In so many photos, seagulls flew into a few of them (I was shooting near the sea), so I composed a single shot with a seagull into the stack.
The current sunspots are clearly visible on the Sun.
All in all, I'm very happy with the fact that I managed to be one of the few to capture this comet during the day!
